I have found the Duo-Scan to be a very useful tool for pregnancy detection at our feedlot. The Duo-Scan is very user-friendly in that it has a fast learning curve to operate and read the clear images it projects. I have found it to be more accurate and easier on the heifer than palpation.
The Duo-Scan allows us to check many more heifers without the concern of fatigue and physical strain that palpation can cause. The use of the monitor also provides the benefit of sharing the pregnancy with others present. I have found it to be a very useful tool

There was no question in my mind that the Easi-Scan was the best bovine portable ultrasound for the price. The image quality was far superior than any of the others that I tried and its light weight and long battery life made it a sure winner

May I take this opportunity to congratulate BCF on the new BUGS. When I used them for the first time, my initial reaction was WOW! They are superb. The clarity of imaging is outstanding but what is amazing is their clarity even in bright sunlight. They are so light and comfortable and are a joy to use. The arrival of the bugs has been like a breath of fresh air

It really isn't common to be able to give almost unqualified praise for a technical product in the veterinary world. Yet, I found myself being pleasantly surprised on more than one occasion by both the service provided by BCF as well as the performance of their products.
Using technology which seems to genuinely have been designed with cattle farm conditions in mind, rather than medical compromises is a real bonus. The options now available with the high resolution ‘BUGS' goggles have moved bovine ultrasound on a step. However, more than anything, I have been refreshed by a company which seems to remember that good service is paramount in a challenging economic climate. Time always seems to be short in cattle practice and a helpful voice at the end of the phone to sort problems out promptly has been impressive.

I work in the area of Passo Fundo, south east of Brazil. Here each moth is different, sometimes there is more work sometimes less but always the same quantity. Each moth I do around 1.600 examinations, around 400 per week. My work starts 20 days post calving, and it is at this time when I examine the evolution of the uterus, visualizing the pathology and preparing the cows for the start of their reproductive cycle. Around 45-50 days post calving, starts the reproductive cycle and it is at this time that the uterus must be 100%, job that I do by visualizing the ovaries. After this, at around 27 days after the cow has been covered, I do a diagnostic of gestation. If it is not in calf , I start the procedures for re-synchronising the cow and do a new AI.
I am very satisfied with my work thanks to my ultrasound equipment Easi-Scan that I bought back in 2009
