Designed specifically for use with Easi-Scan and Duo-Scan , portable ultrasound scanners, BCF Universal Goggles (BUG) set a new standard in viewing musculoskeletal and fertility ultrasound images from cows, horses, sheep, deer and goats. Rugged and reliable, BUG devices combine unprecedented display performance with excellent peripheral vision, providing an all-round better view.
IMPROVED VIEWING
BUG devices allow you to see the ultrasound image right in front of your eyes. Versions are available for binocular and monocular viewing. BUG devices have high contrast and brightness that has been optimized for the grey scale imaging of an ultrasound scanner.
INCREASED SAFETY
BUG devices sit on your head in a way that allows you to keep your peripheral vision while scanning. This allows you to be aware of what is going on with the animal and your surroundings, which minimises the risk of you being hurt while scanning.
ROBUST
Designed for use in the field, BUG devices are tough and reliable. As well as being dust and splash-proof (IP65 sealed) they can also be used over a wide temperature range.
COMFORT
BUG devices are lightweight and headband mounted which means they can be worn for long periods of time without causing strain. The headband is very flexible and easily adjusted for different users. The side pivot allows the eye pieces to be adjusted up and down for different users or while you are not scanning.
May I take this opportunity to congratulate BCF on the new BUG. When I used them for the first time, my initial reaction was WOW! They are superb. The clarity of imaging is outstanding but what is amazing is their clarity even in bright sunlight. They are so light and comfortable and are a joy to use. The arrival of the bugs has been like a breath of fresh air

The goggles give crisp, superior image and a fantastic resolution. They are very comfortable to wear with no safety issues.

Using technology which seems to genuinely have been designed with cattle farm conditions in mind, rather than medical compromises is a real bonus. The options now available with the high resolution 'BUGS' goggles have moved bovine ultrasound on a step. However, more than anything, I have been refreshed by a company which seems to remember that good service is paramount in a challenging economic climate. Time always seems to be short in cattle practice and a helpful voice at the end of the phone to sort problems out promptly has been impressive.
